Phase I of The Sullivan Park Redevelopment Project achieved goals expressed in the CRA Plan of activating the Sullivan Park & Cove Area and implemented many recommendations of the ULI TAP Advisory Panel Report. Additionally, the ULI TAP Report highlighted other potential opportunities for redevelopment and expansion of the site through property acquisition, upland building, and the inclusion of interpretive and educational exhibits (see Figure 1 below).
UPDATE:
In May 2018, the Community Redevelopment Agency Board approved the contract of purchase of the Greater Deerfield Beach Chamber of Commerce located at 1601 E Hillsboro Blvd, Deerfield Beach, Fl. 33441. This acquisition allows the park to expand west; thereby, increasing the feasibility for a variety of redevelopment options.

August 19, 2019, a public workshop was held at the Hillsboro Technology Center. Over 50 residents were present to provide input on Phase II of the Sullivan Park Expansion. Note*: This project is still in the very early stages. More community outreach and public input opportunities to come in the future.
