Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex (OMRC) is a beautiful 15-acre park located south of Hillsboro Boulevard. The complex consists of the Dr. Leo J. Robb Jr. gymnasium and the Johnny L. Tigner Community Center. OMRC offers 2 lighted basketball courts, a football field and a multipurpose field - with a concession stand, 2 youth baseball fields, a community center, a walking trail, a full-size gym, picnic areas, a playground, and a game room featuring quiet games, pool table, and table tennis.
The Johnny L. Tigner Community Center closed in March of 2023 for construction. Anticipated reopening of the new facility is scheduled for early 2025.
This facility is available for rentals during the week and on weekends. It is available to rent in 4-hour time blocks on weekends or hourly on weekdays.

*Proof of residency must be provided: Utility bill and Drivers license.
A $75 deposit fee will be added for Pavilion rentals and $250 for indoor facilities. The deposit will be returned if the facility is left clean, returned to its original condition, and vacated by the designated time on the permit. The facility must be booked at least 2 weeks prior to the rental date and no more than 90 days in advance.
Checks will only be accepted for payment 5 weeks prior to the rental date. Other acceptable forms of payment include credit cards, cash, and money orders.
Alcoholic beverages and/or gambling in any form are not allowed on City property.
Only approved bounce house vendors are allowed at City parks.
