Deerfield Beach Commercial and Industrial Property Owners will See Insurance Reductions

The Insurance Services Office (ISO), a nationwide data collector for insurance services, has completed its analysis of the City of Deerfield Beach and based on improvements made since their review of the City in 2016, the ISO has regraded our Commercial and Industrial properties from a classification grade of 3 to a classification grade of 2 (with 1 being the lowest). The purpose of the ISO’s report is to help insurance underwriters determine the level of necessary coverage for construction and refinancing, relating to property/casualty loss and life safety. This reduction makes Deerfield Beach an even more desirable location for new businesses, and it also helps to retain rates for current business owners. In benchmarking with other cities, Deerfield Beach had a higher average score than most other municipalities in Broward County, the State of Florida, and the Nation. This evaluation is done every three years; the next one will take place in 2022.
