Deerfield Beach Annual Black Heritage Banquet Set for February 23, 2019

The City of Deerfield Beach Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite you to join us for the Annual Black Heritage Banquet. The banquet will be held at the Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex located in the Dr. Leo J. Robb, Jr. Memorial Gymnasium, 435 SW 2 St., on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6 PM).


The Annual Black Heritage Banquet will offer an evening to remember with a headline speaker, food, live music, and awards to our “Hometown Heroes.” This year’s heroes will be recognized for their distinguished contributions in the following categories: Business Professional, Community Service, Educator, Athletic Role Model, Community Organization, and the Emmanuel Knowles Humanitarian Award.

Come out for a delicious soul food buffet and live entertainment as we honor these most deserving individuals. Tickets may be purchased at the Johnny Tigner, Sr. Community Center at Oveta McKeithen Recreational Complex for $30.00. Tickets are on sale now but space is limited so get yours today! We encourage guests to wear African attire; however, it is not required.
